We are currently recruiting for a Wind Turbine Technician to join our team in Australia, to be based in Warradarge and the mid-west of Western Australia with Sparrows Services Australia Pty Ltd in a full time position.
The main purpose of this is to offer turbine specific engineering knowledge and expertise to wind turbine platforms, to build and maintain relationships, provide continuous development in all aspects of Sparrows Business and support service activities.
Main responsibilities
- To lead service teams on the V112 platform and other designated wind turbine platforms
- To provide technical support in all preventative and corrective maintenance activities on the V112 platform and other designated wind turbine platforms
- To work on improvement plans and actions for the client
- Develop and implement safe systems of work
Technical
- Lead and train new Sparrows service technicians on V112 and V150 platforms and other designated wind turbine platforms
- Compile records and condition monitoring information relating to all aspects of the contract
- Complete gearbox changeout on request
- Direct team to complete and record maintenance and repair activities in accordance with work schedules.
Qualifications and experience
Essential:
- Relevant Industry Experience OR Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- 2 years relevant experience
- Vestas C Training
- Vestas D Training
- Vestas gearbox Course
- Mechanical handling knowledge
Desirable:
- Previous experience in a Customer Facing Role
